Voice of the Industry: Packaged Food
A new report in the Industry Insights series focuses on packaged food trends, drawing on an Industry Insights survey of 837 professionals around the world.
Top findings from Euromonitor’s packaged food industry insights survey include:
- Future sales expectations among industry professionals are cautiously optimistic; 58% think value sales in their category in 2023 will be at least 2% better than in 2018.
- Free-from and clean label foods, convenient foods, and alternative business models and delivery options are expected to be the most influential trends impacting sales in the coming year.
- Over half of industry professionals cite products with organic/natural claims and novel ingredients or flavours as the most successful new packaged food innovations and launches in the past year.
